Professional Practitioner Diploma in Hypnotherapy

The Professional Practitioner Hypnotherapy Training was devised and written by Terence Watts, and is based on his many thousands of hours of successful work with hypnosis, hypnotherapy and hypnoanalysis. Among many other qualifications, Terence holds the prestigious 'MCGI' (Member of the City and Guilds Institute) - the only member of the psychology professions to do so. He is also a Fellow of the Royal Society of Medicine.

If you want to gain a Professional qualification as a hypnotherapist or wish to gain an in depth knowledge of the subject, we can offer you first rate training to practitioner level and beyond.  The Northumbrian ACT has on offer the following courses:

The Foundation Certificate level is ideal staring point for healthcare practitioners to learn the art of hypnosis and hypnotherapy as an adjunct to their existing skills or for those wishing to embark on a journey to full professional hypnotherapy development. Lasting approximately 70 hours in duration over 3 modules, it is the perfect introductory course for those who do not need to learn all the 'ins and outs' of professional practice. The Foundation level course is designed to mix classroom practice and home study learning together to give a perfect grounding in the art of hypnosis.

Development Seminars bridge the gap between the Foundation and the Diploma levels. These seminars are one day workshops run throughout the year and are designed to re-enforce the knowledge gained on the foundation level course as well as to serve as a preparation for the Diploma level. Topics taken in the development seminars are covered in greater detail at the Diploma level. (Foundation students are required to attend a minimum of 3 development seminars before progression to the Diploma level). (Development seminars are also open to qualified therapists as professional knowledge refreshers and Northumbrian academy members will receive a substantial discount off the seminar fees).

The Professional Practitioner Diploma accredited by one of the countries leading hypnotherapy associations (The Association for Professional Hypnosis and Psychotherapy (APHP), is the course to study if you want to go into practice, either full time or part time, as an effective Professional clinical hypnotherapist. Over 140 hours of practical classroom study based over 10 modules as well as home study and assignments (400hr equivalent), this excellent course gives you all the information you need to setup your own private practice and forms a firm basis to expand your knowledge into specialist areas.
